Our CASI sanctioned chili cook off has become quite the event in the North Texas area!
Our Saturday CCO is an AUTO QUALIFIER.

Chili Time in Saint Jo!
SATURDAY:
9:00 AM, Silent Auction begins, closes after chili winners are announced.
12:00 PM, Beans turn in at noon, $10 entry.
1:00 PM, Chili turn in time, $30 entry, *AUTO QUALIFIER*.
Fish Fry Saturday evening.
SUNDAY:
Chili turn in at 12:00 PM, $25 entry.
The Saint Jo Riding Club sponsors the annual event with the proceeds going to the Saint Jo Riding Club Scholarship Fund. The Cook Off is sanctioned by CASI (Chili Appreciation Society International). CASI Chili Cooks compete for points throughout the year to qualify for the Terlingua competition in November. CASI, a non-profit organization and donates generously to the local charities that sponsor their competitions. "Chili, Charity & Fun" is the motto for this outstanding organization. These cooks have a great time cooking chili-and it is all for charity.
Silent Auction donations are being accepted and would be appreciated. If you would like to donate an item, please contact Eli Casey @ 940-366-1913.
The Illinois Bend Community Club will hold a bake sale on Saturday starting at 9:00 AM in the pavilion at the rodeo arena. Those Illinois Bend cooks always bring their best to this event!
Judges are needed for the Cook Off for both days (no experience necessary-judging instructions furnished by the CASI officials-just arrive at Rodeo Arena one hour prior to “turn-in “time).
All cooking must be done on-site at the rodeo arena. If you have any questions about the local competition or would like to be one of the judges, contact Eli Casey (940-366-1913).
